DUE TO THE “WARM LOANS” PROGRAM, UKRAINE REDUCED IT BY 6 BILLION CUM IN 2017. GAS CONSUMPTION

In 2017, in Ukraine, the population, budget institutions, and enterprises of the thermal utility and energy industry consumed 6.02 billion cubic meters of gas. or 25% less than in 2014.

This is evidenced by the data received by the State Energy Efficiency Agency from Naftogaz of Ukraine and Ukrtransgaz PJSC, the Zhitlo.in.ua portal reports.

The best dynamics are observed in the budget sector, which has reduced gas use by 26% over 3 years: from 0.67 billion cubic meters to up to 0.50 billion cubic meters

Also, during the corresponding period, the consumption of gas by the population was significantly reduced – by 25% (from 15.05 billion m3 to 11.23 billion cubic meters) and by the enterprises of the thermal utility and energy – by 24% (from 8.59 billion cubic meters to 6.56 billion cubic meters).

According to experts, the improvement of the legislative framework, the implementation of the Government program “warm credits” and the increase in the share of alternative energy sources contributed to the savings.
The influence of the government program on the growth of the production of energy-saving materials was commented by the leading specialist of “STOLIT” Serhiy Shpak:

“For domestic enterprises that specialize in the production of energy-saving materials, the value of the government’s “warm loans” program is not only in the savings of the population and budget institutions on heating and reducing the volume of gas imports, but also in the growth of the volume of own production, the creation of new jobs.”

He also informed that during the period of the “warm credits” program last year alone, the company manufactured and sold 84 thousand square meters of building insulation materials to the population and budget institutions under this program.
