UKRAINIANS WERE TOLD HOW NOT TO OVERPAY FOR COMMUNAL SERVICES

Gas prices have risen since November 1. Now we will pay UAH 8.55 per cubic meter of gas, which is one and a half times more than before. Many people think about savings and are looking for ways to save a penny from the family budget. Specialists have given several tips that will help to do this.

Let’s save electricity

It is easiest to save electricity in autumn or winter. In the cold season, electricity consumption among the population increases by approximately 20-30%. If you correctly approach the issue of energy efficiency, every family can easily save up to 50% on electricity.

First of all, it is necessary to install a dual-zone electricity meter. It allows you to pay twice as much for electricity at night. About 30% of electricity is consumed by people at night. For example, the refrigerator is permanently connected to the power grid. Some of your electrical household tasks can be transferred to the evening/morning mode, for example, laundry, dishwasher, electrically heated floors, charging of appliances.

And in the evening, the expert advises turning on energy-saving lamps. Although they are more expensive than incandescent lamps, they will last longer and save electricity.

You can also use “smart” sockets with a timer.

Let’s save on heating

With the right approach to this issue, it is possible to save up to 40-50% of heat, in some cases even up to 70% of heat, in Soviet-built houses.

First of all, it is necessary to unite with the neighbors and contact the energy auditor. This is a specialist who will conduct a comprehensive energy survey of buildings and determine:

How much energy can a building save?
Where does heat loss occur?
How to eliminate these losses?
What energy-efficient and energy-saving measures should be implemented to get the most benefit?
How much it will cost?
When will they pay off?
It happens that some measures can pay off in a year, and some may not give the expected result in 15 years. Accordingly, there is less sense in such measures or they will be less of a priority.

Savings due to insulation

Ukrainians are advised to insulate their homes. For this, special state programs are provided, which compensate part of the costs of materials or solid fuel boilers.

In addition to insulating the facades, you also need to remember to insulate the attic and install modern windows.

All the materials needed to insulate your home can be found in our TM STOLIT offices, where qualified employees will help you choose the right materials and give advice on their correct and effective use.
